1. What to include in your request

Send the request from the email address used for your WaveRay account whenever possible.
Use the subject WaveRay Data Deletion Request.
State that you want your WaveRay account and associated eligible personal data deleted.
Do not send your password, verification codes, full payment-card information, or other unnecessary sensitive information.

2. Identity verification

We may ask you to verify ownership of the WaveRay account before completing a deletion request. This is intended to prevent unauthorized deletion of another user's account.

3. Data that may be deleted

After a valid request is verified, we will delete or de-identify eligible personal data associated with the WaveRay account where reasonably possible. This may include:

WaveRay account profile and account-related records controlled by us;
device authorization information associated with the account, where it is no longer required;
application entitlement records that are not required to be retained for legal, security, fraud-prevention, transaction, or licensing purposes; and
other eligible personal information associated with the account.

4. Data that may be retained

Some limited records may be retained when reasonably necessary or legally required, including records needed for fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, accounting, tax, transaction history, Microsoft Store purchase verification, or other legal obligations.

Important: Deleting your WaveRay account does not automatically cancel, refund, transfer, or remove a Microsoft Store purchase. Purchases and refunds are handled separately under Microsoft Store rules.

5. Local project files

WaveRay optical projects, simulation results, graphs, reports, and other project files stored locally on your computer are generally under your control. Account deletion does not automatically delete files stored locally on your device. Delete those files from your computer separately if you no longer want to keep them.

6. Device removal without deleting your account

If you only want to remove an old authorized computer, you do not need to delete your entire WaveRay account. Use the device-management function available in WaveRay where supported, or contact support for assistance.
