Control & RL Studio is a Windows control and reinforcement-learning application developed and provided by Hangzhou Xishang Technology Co., Ltd. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the application.
1. Account Information
Control & RL Studio may use email-based account registration and sign-in. The application may process an email address, user identifier, authentication status, membership or entitlement status, and information needed to keep a session active.
Authentication and entitlement-related backend services may be provided through Supabase. Passwords are handled by the authentication provider and are not intentionally stored by us in plaintext.
2. Purchase, License, and Device Authorization Information
Where Microsoft Store paid features are available, the application may check Store ownership or entitlement information to enable Pro access, restore a purchase, and maintain licensed access.
Microsoft processes payment, Microsoft-account, transaction, region, and related Store information under its own policies. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details.
The application may also process limited device authorization information needed to enforce applicable device limits and provide offline authorization. Local authorization or session credentials may be protected using Windows security mechanisms such as Windows Credential Manager where supported.
3. Imported Training and Experiment Data
Control & RL Studio can import experiment or training data, including supported CSV or JSONL files and other data used by control and reinforcement-learning workflows.
Normal simulation, training, evaluation, replay, snapshot, and analysis workflows are designed to run locally on the user's Windows computer.
We do not intentionally upload the contents of user-imported datasets, trajectories, control logs, or training files to our servers as part of ordinary simulation or RL workflows.
4. Simulation, Training, and Generated Results
The application may run control and reinforcement-learning environments and algorithms, including classical control scenarios, robotics-related environments, DC motor, tank level, thermal process, mass-spring-damper, Q-Learning, SARSA, Double Q, Behavior Cloning, DQN, PPO, SAC, TD3, and other supported methods as the product evolves.
Generated policies, checkpoints, training metadata, snapshots, plots, trajectories, evaluation metrics, and exports are normally stored locally or in locations selected by the user. We do not automatically collect these experiment outputs.
5. Local Storage and Offline Authorization
The application may store settings, saved projects, training metadata, model snapshots, authorization caches, and session information locally. Where offline access is supported, a time-limited authorization cache may be stored on the device so licensed features can continue to work temporarily without an internet connection.

- Diagnose authentication, licensing, or application problems
- Protect the service from unauthorized access or abuse
We do not sell personal information.
7. Analytics and Advertising
Control & RL Studio does not include third-party advertising and does not intentionally use imported control or RL data for advertising or behavioral profiling.
8. Third-Party Services
- Supabase may be used for account authentication and entitlement-related backend services.
- Microsoft Store may be used for distribution, paid-feature licensing, purchase verification, and restoration.
9. Data Retention
Account, entitlement, and device-authorization information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to maintain the account, provide purchased features, restore entitlements, resolve support requests, prevent abuse, or meet legal requirements.
Locally imported data, policies, snapshots, logs, and generated results remain under the user's control until deleted by the user.
10. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect account and entitlement information. Users are responsible for protecting their Windows account, email account, device, and imported data.
11. User Rights and Requests
Depending on applicable law, users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information associated with their account. Some purchase, entitlement, security, or anti-fraud records may need to be retained where necessary.
12. Control and Reinforcement-Learning Disclaimer
Control & RL Studio is intended for simulation, education, research, prototyping, and engineering analysis. Policies or controllers produced in simulation should not be deployed to safety-critical, high-power, medical, transportation, industrial, or other real-world systems without independent verification, testing, appropriate safeguards, and qualified engineering judgment.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when application functionality, licensing, backend services, or legal requirements change.
