6G Research Studio is developed and provided by Hangzhou Xishang Technology Co., Ltd. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use 6G Research Studio.
1. Information We Collect
6G Research Studio may collect or process the following limited information:
Account Information
If you choose to sign in, we may process information associated with your account, such as:
- Email address
- User account identifier
- Application access level, such as Free or Pro
- License or entitlement status
- Application version and platform information
- Basic entitlement-related records necessary to provide purchased features
Authentication is provided through Supabase. Password authentication is handled by the authentication service. We do not intentionally store your password in plaintext.
Purchase and License Information
If you purchase or restore 6G Research Studio Pro through Microsoft Store, Microsoft may process purchase, payment, account, region, and transaction information under Microsoft's own privacy policies.
6G Research Studio may check Microsoft Store entitlement information in order to:
- Confirm whether the Pro add-on is owned
- Restore a previous purchase
- Enable purchased functionality
- Synchronize applicable license status with the application's account system
We do not directly collect or store your credit card or other payment-card information.
2. Imported Research Data
6G Research Studio allows users to import research, simulation, measurement, networking, channel, waveform, mobility, optimization, security, and other engineering data.
Supported formats may include CSV, TXT, TSV, XLSX, JSON, NPY, NPZ, and MAT, depending on the selected module.
User-imported research files are processed locally on the user's computer by the application.
6G Research Studio does not intentionally upload user-imported research datasets to our servers as part of normal analysis workflows.
Users are responsible for ensuring that files imported into the software do not contain confidential, personal, restricted, or unlawfully obtained information.
3. Locally Stored Information
The application may store certain information locally on your computer, including:
- Application settings
- Research projects
- Imported-data references
- Saved topology or architecture configurations
- Exported research results
- Cached application or authorization information where required for application operation
Local files remain under the control of the user and may generally be removed by deleting the applicable application data or files.
4. How We Use Information
Information processed by 6G Research Studio is used only as reasonably necessary to:
- Authenticate users
- Provide Free or Pro access
- Verify or restore Microsoft Store purchases
- Maintain license and entitlement information
- Operate application features
- Provide customer support
- Diagnose account or licensing problems
- Protect the application and its services from unauthorized access or abuse
We do not sell users' personal information.
5. Analytics and Advertising
6G Research Studio does not include third-party advertising.
The application does not intentionally use user-imported research data for advertising or marketing profiling.
At the time of this Privacy Policy, the application does not intentionally include third-party behavioral advertising or tracking SDKs.
6. Third-Party Services
6G Research Studio may use third-party services necessary for account and application functionality.
Supabase
Supabase is used for authentication and application entitlement management. Information sent to Supabase is subject to Supabase's applicable privacy and security practices.
Microsoft Store
Microsoft Store is used to distribute the application and process Microsoft Store purchases and licenses. Purchase and Microsoft account information processed by Microsoft is subject to Microsoft's Privacy Statement.
YouTube
The application contains an optional link to a YouTube tutorial. YouTube is not automatically opened unless the user chooses to open the tutorial link. Once opened, use of YouTube is governed by Google's and YouTube's applicable policies.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information associated with the application.
The desktop application uses a publishable client key where appropriate and does not intentionally embed privileged server secret keys in the distributed application.
However, no electronic storage, communication, or online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Data Retention
Account and license-related information may be retained for as long as necessary to:
- Maintain an active user account
- Provide purchased functionality
- Maintain entitlement records
- Resolve support or transaction-related issues
- Meet applicable legal or operational requirements
Local research files and exported results remain on the user's device until deleted by the user.
9. Children's Privacy
6G Research Studio is a professional research and engineering application and is not specifically directed toward children.
We do not knowingly design the application to collect personal information from children for advertising purposes.
10. User Choices and Requests
Users may contact us regarding:
- Account information
- Privacy questions
- Account deletion requests
- Correction of account information
- License or entitlement issues
Some records may need to be retained when required for legitimate transaction, security, legal, or compliance purposes.
